Re: Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown
ha! I'll pass.
I've never rented an apartment via Craig's List (or any other way for over a couple decades) so if there's this much fraud, it's news to me - but I'll take everyone's word for it, given my ignorance. I can't say I'm surprised, so I guess I should have been more doubtful. But now I'm curious to know what the bottom line actual rent is. I see about three listings at $4,000..... |

Yup, true words. My trouble is, I've been out of the rental market so long, I don't have any feel for what would constitute "too good to be true" for MT. I can go look up and quote you chapter and verse on LIHTC restricted rents in various places, but that's looking from the ownership direction, and looking at affordable. From the renter's direction, on unrestricted units? I dunno.
So what does everybody think is the minimum rent - for real - in MT? For, say, a 1BR down pretty low in the tower where the views aren't great? |

It aint times square but its much better than what was there before and looks like its being used as designed. I see lots of people chatting, eating lunch, reading, taking in the outside air, basically doing human things. Cant ask for much more than that. Great addition to the city. |

Hopefully, the hours for sitting there into the evening have been extended. It's such a simple, but great addition to that corner!

There are a good number of units in the building that have been closed and delivered by Millennium Partners and not yet occupied, owner or otherwise. The rental population in the building is expected to pick up this next 9/1/17 cycle.

Judging from curbed's map of high-end rentals in Boston/Cambridge (including Kensington etc. but not MT itself), $3500 sounds about right.

This was probably already noted somewhere in here, but last week I found that the second or third floor of Primark was recently expanded and now goes out over the Old Navy location.

I think I like the added texture the drawn shades give the entire building.

Has anyone seen a copy of the condo by-laws? Do they have to be filed with the city, or the registry of deeds or anything like that?
