Re: Everett Developments

I saw from Revere Beach Pkwy what appeared to be the demolition of the property between the MBTA shops and the Batch Yard. Can anyone confirm or know of any project going in here?

This is very close to Chelsea Clock redevelopment and near the new CR station & terminus of the Silver Line extension, correct?

Re: Everett Developments

Why is Everett developments considered Greater New England? I'd consider Everett to be part of the urban fabric of Boston.

Everett borders Boston directly. It is not some outer suburb or a whole separate urban area like Portland or Providence.

Re: Everett Developments

A new Everett development is planned with 286 apartments along Route 16.

From Bldup
"Joint venture equity and $57.45 million in construction financing have been secured for The Pioneer, an upcoming 286-unit luxury apartment development located in Everett steps from the new MBTA Silver Line Extension and Commuter Rail stations at Mystic Mall in Chelsea."
http://www.bldup.com/projects/the-pioneer

Steps from the new silver line station means a couple of blocks walk through a sketchy looking industrial area. Far from ideal.

Isn't there a proposed 750 unit apartment development planned on the Chelsea side in that area?

There's One North of Boston nearby, plus the FBI Building and a few new hotels.

Ahh. Found some more info on it.

They need to keep building more buildings like this, new housing that the middle class might have a chance to afford.

Thanks, but that was 18 months ago. No update? That part of Chelsea needs density!
