Default Winnipesaukee Playhouse

Ok, so the theater company i work for is building a new theater at the site of the former Annalee Doll Factory in Meredith, New Hampshire, and i thought you guys would be intrested in seeing what is going on.

The current theater is in Weirs Beach. It is litteraly three storefronts in an ugly post modern strip mall that have been combined. and seats 84.. and that dunkin donughts is only open in the summer.... it sucks.

This is the former Annalee Giftshop that is going to becoem the Mainstage Theater after tons of renovations. Looks like about 2 years from now it will be done. it will seat over 200.

This is the former Annalee Doll Museum. It will become a second stage for the playhouse.. but that is like 5 years down the road.

There are a few renderings for the new theater at the following link
http://www.winniplayhouse.com/Capital_Campaign.html

I also wrote a pretty big wikipedia page about it...

The new actor housing was just built and i'll try to get some pics of it posted here soon.

I thought you said the gift shop building is being renovated to become a theatre? That looks more like demolition to me.

Sounds cool. Those dolls used to give me the creeps when I was kid, so this is doubly good news.

the half that was torn down is going to be actual theater part of the theater, the other half that was left standing will become support spaces, offices, and rehersal halls.
