Re: What are you listening to now?

It only took one trip to Braintree Mall and 50 minutes of exposure to their PA playlist to put me in the proper Holiday mood. . .

With apologies to Dylan Thomas, an LSD-aficionado's Christmas in Austin, TX:

Re: What are you listening to now?

^ Sorry, kz - I'm just not wired for music that asks so little of the listener.

Corrective experience in progress:

Happy Birthday, America.

(Recorded 25 years ago; disquietingly prescient of our times.)

Oh, no...not Pete Shelley. That's almost as big a gut punch as losing Joe Strummer. Today's personal playlist starts with Singles Going Steady, moves on to Homosapien, has any number of live shows sprinkled between.

A different take on one of my favorite Elliott Smith songs. Despite having been a fan of his for over twenty years, I never heard it before last January. I saw it just after seeing Call Me By Your Name and thought it fit the mood of that film very well. I think I might like this better than the version on XO:
