Re: Urban Ring Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting

What do these things have to do with the Urban Ring???

Anyway, I'll be going for the updates on the Yawkey project, Logan Bypass, and the Silver Line to Chelsea. Sounds like an interesting line up.

Re: Urban Ring Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting

Tweets I made at the Urban Ring Citizens Advisory Committee's 36th meeting on 12/3/12:

http://twitpic.com/bittzp - Going to try to live tweet the Urban Ring CAC Meeting (#URCAC)

http://twitpic.com/bitut8 - Page 1/2 of Melnea Cass update. #URCAC

@universalhub 25% design of Melnea Cass reconstruction features tree lined road with busway reservation in the median. #URCAC

Melnea Cass reconstruction to feature onstreet parking, busway reservation, trees. No bike lanes planned. #URCAC

http://twitpic.com/biu1uk - Ruggles Station third commuter rail platform plan. #URCAC

Yawkey Station will be completed in time for Worcester Line schedule expansion in Fall 2013. #URCAC

East Boston Bypass Road opened last Monday; open to commercial and taxi traffic. #URCAC

http://twitpic.com/biu634 - Page One of the alternative analysis for Silver Line to Chelsea. #URCAC

http://twitpic.com/biu730 - List of routing alternatives for Silver Line to Chelsea. #URCAC

CT2 and CT3 buses may be combined, routed through LMA. CT3 may be extended to JFK/Umass. #URCAC

Love the guy who just bashed this CT bus/BRT stuff and said go straight to rail. #URCAC

#URCAC meeting over; tweeting will now subside. @broadway_jayD

Also; the commuter rail stop at Sullivan Square was brought up. I thought that idea was dead (and I hope it will never happen, so long as there is no urban ring rail), but apparently there is still life to it.

Thanks for the updates. I had to pick between this and NEC Future, decided on the latter.

Working fine for me.

Although I am realizing my phone sucks worse than I thought and it is too small plus too blurry to read most of it.

Nah, they're quite readable. (The pics are working now)

I'd be interested in hearing more about the "Silver Line Fleet Analysis". If the SL to Chelsea plans call for using the Piers Transitway, then we're looking at ordering new, custom, dual-mode Frankenbuses.

You know, the same kind of procurement process that helped bankrupt Neoplan.

I really wish they would post these documents on the Urban Ring website. Last documents there are from meeting 31.
