Ban Request: Ned Flaherty

I've been tolerating his idiotic posts for a while, but a recent post

pushed me over the edge. He's done nothing but troll, inefficiently use "site resources" (just throwing his argument back at him), and just plain out be insulting and condenscending towards the entire forum, including now the admin. He's not just a normal anti-development freak, he's delusional and he continues his lies for many months now, repeating the same bullshit over and over again. He doesn't back down when caught to be wrong, and never does anything except bitch about a project with no supporting evidence that's true. Anyone support me in banning this troll?

Site administrators receive training?

Why? I kinda like the Columbus Center thread on the lunatic fringe. Though it is long winded and boring. Much more than anyone could ever care to read.

I voted "No". We don't, or shouldn't, ban people here just because they advocate a NIMBY or other point of view disfavored by most of us.

Re: Ban Request: Ned Flaherty

That's not my real gripe, it's just that he insults our intelligence reguluarly by posting misinformation and acting condenscending, starting with his Q+A session and culminating with my quoted post. I don't have a problem with Harry Mattison, who actually doesn't insult people during his posts and has a somewhat principled stand, and responds to criticism in a meaningful way. Ned just insults whoever points out flaws in his argument and repeats the same UFP is murder bullshit.

Re: Ban Request: Ned Flaherty

^Yes, but people respond to it. If they didn't he may go away. If we don't like him, don't respond to it. I don't think he should be banned for what he's done so far (which is using what it seems he truly believes is 100% accurate information). In fact, If I had to see anyone banned, I'd rather it be the guy who (supposedly) was using one of the threads as an ad for new condos (though I don't want to see anyone banned at the moment).

I know his posts are redundant and seem to be tainted information, but as long as members here respond, there's no reason for him to be banned. It's not quite spam... yet. Until he posts without prompting, it won't be spam, even though it can get annoying as hell.
