Boston Nightwalks

A nod to American artist Edward Hopper’s, “Nighthawks”, a 1942 oil on canvas painting.
Wikipedia: It has been described as Hopper's best known work[1] and is one of the most recognizable paintings in American art.[2][3]
Within months of its completion, it was sold to the Art Institute of Chicago on May 13, 1942 for $3,000.[4]

Bravo, and many thanks, Ed, for a beautiful, evening walk all around the town that I'll probably never have the opportunity to do myself! I'll be revisiting this thread often!

Re: Boston Nightwalks

Thanks, much, I hemmed and hawed about posting these, thinking the photos might not be good enough. I’m thinking of replacing my Nikon Coolpix 7000 Point-and-shoot with a camera like the Nikon D3400 with 24 mega-pixels. If I use a tripod, I won’t get around as much.

Damn, you're work is consistently incredible, Ed. Somehow you get vantage points that many of us never see even though we walk by these places often. You should publish a coffee table book with some of this.

Re: Boston Nightwalks

what amazing shots -- thanks much for sharing.

i emailed my parents the link to this thread, so they could "virtually" walk around in your footsteps and see what the city they used to live in looks like at night in 2018. my mom loved it.
