This development is everything Boston needs more of. High retail, creative facades, high density.

The Seaport maintains its tower crane streak, with Pier 4 finishing up just as M1 starts

Mods, can you please change this title to include Echelon Seaport:

https://echelonseaport.com/

Additionally, the crane base for crane #2 is going in as I type this.

I have been wondering about something. Why is this called M1 and M2 if there are 3 total towers?

Because it's "Parcels M1-M2" (not "Buildings M1-M2") from the Seaport Square Master Plan.

I wonder if Regent will stick with this project. They backed out of the Battery Wharf residences & hotel back in 2008...
http://archive.boston.com/business/a...front_project/

The building is being billed as "the first US residential address branded by internationally recognized leader in five-star hospitality and service, Regent Hotels & Resorts." according to the Echelon web site.

From the website:

The top render shows a building opposite WTC ave from Waterside Place Phase B in that circular plot (bottom left of pic grey place holder). There has been no official renders or anything planned yet, but its good to know it will be developed. Its kind of an awkward plot with only 1 face of the building able to gain access because a ramp that wraps around it, but whatever it is it will be better than nothing and add to the filling in of the neighborhood.

It is also missing 150 seaport which is one of the nicest buildings that will be going up in the area, but still looks good.

I didn't see any specific news or information on this one from yesterday's flooding, though many surrounding streets were covered by several inches (1+ feet?) of seawater

Anyone who lives in the area know if this "bathtub fill with water?"

It did not appear so. I'm sure they got groundwater but went by this AM and they were working. Didn't seem like anything substantial. I think the Parcel K on Northern Ave might have had more water, although they are just starting.

Look dry as a bone today.

As you can see the first core is at ground level now.
