The anomalies of MSAs still exist due to arbitrary county borders, though. Use the Urban area population as reported by the US Census. There is no reason to use MSA during this discussion.

From a cost-benefit, and a time-to-completion standpoint (some pretty good metrics), this is the best transit project we've had in decades.

What do you mean by "administered by the DOT?" How did this process work and how was it different from the Green Line Extension?

I love this project and hope we continue to see transit improvements to a city that deserves and would utilize rapid transit.

At $34m, this is exactly the kind of project we need.

True. Planning for the Blue Line to Lynn started 90 years ago. At least it was partially built 60 years ago, so there's that.

Ya. They seemed to move it to an inferior location. I'm assuming it was due to feasibility/cost of having a full-length commuter rail station that wouldn't fit in the small space between Washington...
