Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

I feel like I've been hearing this for years but whoever owns those lots must know that they're sitting on a goldmine. The land is too valuable to stay a parking lot forever.

I don't know if...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Absolutely agree. In fact i've heard that Mason block is having difficulty selling some units BECAUSE of the utility wires.

I was disappointed to see the Woodfords corner redesign didn't include...

Re: Portland Bayside

If anyone was still holding out a sliver of hope that Midtown will ever be built, I found out from a friend in city government that Federated no longer exists as a company, the land is now owned by a...

Re: The Ridge (former Dirigo Plaza), Westbrook, ME

I just can't imagine how there would ever be enough demand to justify two large office buildings, especially in Portland's suburban environment.

Re: The Ridge (former Dirigo Plaza), Westbrook, ME

This project just keeps getting scaled up. I don't know if these renderings are really indicative of the final master plan but I'm liking those 8-10 story buildings.

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

With the now permanent death of Midtown, I think there is room for another large (200 +) market rate apartment project on the Peninsula

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Seems like their minimum parking requirements would make anywhere on the peninsula basically impossible. I also don't fully understand why they can't be near railroad tracks, seems to be no reason...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

It does seem like residential construction has slowed down a bit around the city. Not that growth isn't solid but we might be past the fever-pitch of building we saw in 2016-17
