The vast majority of taxes you pay are indexed to inflation by default. Transportation use taxes are the only significant taxes in my life that are not.

The new Lechmere station is just across the street, not so much a substantial move. The additional walking distance will be more than offset by the improved headways.

I was under the understanding once upon a time that some of this planned service for the NHHS included one or more trips Boston <-> New Haven via Hartford/Springfield. Is that still in the cards?
