Re: Logan Flight Additions

Just to elaborate on this one, Norwegian is dropping all TATL Edinburgh flights.

It's not a...

Re: Worcester Improvements

I disagree. I think the state new exactly what the threat was and there was no way they were going to match the offer. While I'm bummed to see the team leave, I don't think Worcester's deal was a...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Last week I spent a night near Point Dume. Didn't do Malibu Farm for dinner, but I did have a massive breakfast at Paradise Cove. Great area.

Re: Logan Flight Additions

The problem with many of us having spent years on these forums (over a decade for me here), is that we all swing and miss occasionally. I'm frankly shocked that this route happened.

Re: Downtown Crossing

Me too. Between the beer gardens and all of the restaurants that have added even a handful of outdoor seats, we're doing better. Downtown Crossing itself has added a ton (and it's utilized well). But...

Re: The New Retail Thread

Nice. I'm still bummed about Lulu's Kitchen. The food was awesome. The place that took its spot was a typical mediocre pizza/subs/pasta joint. This sounds like it has potential. It's a tough spot...

Re: Motor Mart Tower | 201 Stuart Str. | Park Sq | Boston

There's actually ground floor retail all around the garage right now. It's where Maggiano's, Legal Seafood, and Flemings currently are located. There's a Hertz Car Rental in one storefront, and I...

Re: Longfellow Bridge update

Eh, the timings aren't awful (not great - you get big queues in front of the Liberty), but you still get waves of people who jaywalk by the emergency exits near where W. Cedar meets Cambridge St., so...

Re: Logan Flight Additions

Agreed. Though I almost pulled the trigger on a $179 round trip to Paris this month. Even with bags and seat assignment it was well under $300 r/t.

I'm surprised by FRA. London and Paris can...

Re: Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

I got this email over the weekend:

That Broadway Bridge closure is going to be a nightmare.

Re: The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

Meh. I'm glad to see more development along the RKG, but they really should have done more with the ground level here. It's facing some of the better Greenway parcels, this seems like a missed...

Re: Logan Flight Additions

True, but most of them select seats and can see that it's a single aisle or wide body. I think that even if they're clueless to the differences, once they experience a TATL flight on a narrow body...

Sorry for not replying sooner... I never look at this thread. To answer your question, no I haven't. The only time I have been charged extra is the handful of times I've skipped a class I signed up...

Re: Logan Flight Additions

Really interesting. I'd love to learn more about their strategy as I'm not sure what they're looking at in terms of a target demo. It could just be that Brussels is one of the largest unserved cities...

Re: Encore Boston Harbor Casino | Everett

Yeah. And one of the best-kept secrets of all time... discounted booze for EVERYONE. You don't need to be a member to get the deals on the liquor. They legally can't allow that. So walk in and buy...

Re: Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

Yes you can, but it's a LOT more subtle.

People are noticing this treatment and for the most part they like it. I've notice a lot of people in the street stopping and staring.

Re: Boston - Most Embarrassing Blight That Tourists See

From where in the North? If you're coming in on 93, I think most people would simply overlook the West End. There's a lot more to distract them - the Zakim, the Bunker Hill Monument, the great view...

Re: Longfellow Bridge update

Actually, we already have bike lanes like this and they're plowed with one of those brush plows mounted to a bobcat or similar vehicle instead of the chute. You get a little build up on the side, but...

Re: Encore Boston Harbor Casino | Everett

So they're marketing in force now. I got a hat and am registered with an Inaugural Member Red Card (which strangely still says "Wynn Boston Harbor."). Both of these are great because I will never...

Re: Parcel 9 - The Greenway

Absolutely agreed. The building was ugly. I do wish they'd incorporate the signage in the new design though.
