Re: Boston Common Overhaul

Reminds me of the campaign slogan I always wanted to use:

Re: Logan Flight Additions

Not a flight "addition" but worth mentioning, regardless.

I just booked a round trip flight to Buffalo for $9 each way (plus $10 each way in surcharges). Buffalo in January? What's not to love?!

Yeah, statler, I remember driving by that one, all the time, on Rt 99 / Rt 60. That one was a KFC at first, right? Then, Chinese food. Now ...?

Re: Bulfinch triangle

The neighbors, or at least, the vocal ones, have not all been on-board. All I remember is people whining that if a supermarket went in anywhere near the neighborhood, all the local grocery stores...

Re: New Tower(s) Planned For Prudential Center

Just in time for Christmas!

They were taking away the fences from in front of the Saks Fifth Avenue on Ring Road, earlier today.

The road is now open (as of 6:00 PM, 16 December).

Economy...

I know, the "artist" topic has been beaten to death.

Re: New to Boston

I consider the Fenway to be "crime-free", just like they used to advertise on WBCN.

Re: BCEC expansion

I was just being cynical. I have to say, all things considered, I'm impressed with the success of the convention center, and I can still see potential in the entire Seaport area.

Re: Filene's

I love the idea of DTX becoming a college town. It would go further in that direction but for local residents' objections.

Silver Bus Line

From now on, please do not confuse people by calling it the "Silver Line". By doing so, people will assume that it's a "Line" in the same way the Blue "Line", Red "Line", Green "Line" and "Orange"...

Re: South Boston Seaport

The parking garages are entirely underground. There are 4,500 spaces there, currently. The extra 2,000 are for the homeowners as well as day-trippers.

Re: MFA Expansion

Re: Filene's

Well, the guy owns all the land, so a lot of things would have to happen for him to lose control of the project.

He seems pretty confident that his financing is in order; unlike Filene's, where...

Re: MFA Expansion

The "other side" has been renamed. It is now the Linde Family West Wing entrance (pronounced, "Lin-dee" not "Lind").

Why in the world would you think that??? He's the only person who seems to have pulled it all together. I don't think financing is holding back Seaport Square; it's demand (and the approvals...
