Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I think there are hills in the way that block the skyline from there because the interchange is set in a low point surrounded by hills.

Re: Encore Boston Harbor Casino | Everett

From what I have heard looking into this more the New England Grid operator is actively requesting for a subsidy to be provided to the company that runs those to prevent the issue of potential...

Re: 150 Kneeland Street | Chinatown

That is the lot line so they either pay for fire rated glass or it gets a blank wall. I would guess they aren't going ultra luxury here so blank wall it is. At least they are doing something with it...

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

If they had chosen to line the entirety of the great hall with retail space I would have a much more positive feeling about it because without that it risks feeling like a private space that is not...

Re: Diagrams on Skyscraperpage

Those diagrams are usually set to only show buildings with diagrams and the list is updated based on posts requesting updates by individuals with accounts on the website and the diagrams themselves...

Re: New Red and Orange Line Cars

I thought the bids were just for who would do the work on Cabot Yard I don't think there was ever a question of whether they would be stored there or not.

Re: TransitMatters Regional Rail Plan

I agree but that is a major expense that would greatly drive up the cost of the South Coast rail project and the point of the article and this discussion has been how to keep costs down and provide...

Re: TransitMatters Regional Rail Plan

The Old Colony Lines have a major capacity constraint because of the single track section in Dorchester so although it doesn't add more branches to the system to do the Stoughton route it is better...

Re: 40 Trinity Place | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

This is already approved I'm not sure why you think this can't go forward. I am pretty sure the developer already has a deal with the University Club otherwise they couldn't have gotten this proposal...

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

I completely agree that seems like a very reasonable idea considering what the service is.

Portland Transit West Project

I thought I would share some exciting transit news that is happening in the Portland area. There are two new routes being added as well as some updates to routes already in operation. The Husky Line...

Re: Ink Block (Boston Herald) | 300 Harrison Avenue | South End

Sprngh2o that isn't really relevant. Maybe they are able to work maybe they aren't they could still be homeless for many reasons either way and I don't think any of us really need to know whether...

Re: Boston - Most Embarrassing Blight That Tourists See

I think the Post Office won't allow that section to be open to the public as long as they exist there. I am pretty sure that is a dead space until the Post Office moves which the city and state have...

Re: South Station Tower

Yeah I messed up on that one. I think I transitioned from thinking specifically about Hines to generally and forgot to actually show that in my writing.

Re: South Station Tower

I honestly don't understand Hines as a developer they seem to be very successful with developments in other cities. I can see how these are more complex, but I would think a major national developer...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I think they are basing it on the price of the units. It would't surprise me if they cost as much as what some of the condos in the new Four Seasons will cost. It is a waterfront building which tends...

Re: Julie Hall | Brookline Ave | Emanuel College | Fenway

It might be suite or apartment style dorms or include some which would mean less students per square foot of building. That could be why it looks bigger than you expected. Most of the new housing at...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Considering how small the base of this tower is and that they needed to include both a hotel and a residence lobby really cut into the space for activation and they are still including space for a...
