Re: Youtube/Encore room views of Skyline

Actually I could care less about the inside of those rooms - - I love seeing the views from a vantage point not usually seen. I was just trying to help out with the unlinked videos the OP was...

Re: MGH Expansion | 275 Cambridge Street | West End

I think the official name for that entire area is "Claustrophobia".

Re: Youtube/Encore room views of Skyline

Yeah, I agree O. I found that kind of odd, but perhaps the poster doesn't know how to copy/paste links? But, all the same, thanks for the heads up!

In the meantime:

Re: Encore Boston Harbor Casino | Everett

I agree on all the points you listed.

Really, this "column" lost me before it began, because Seeking Alpha is the biz journalism equivalent of Open Mic Night:

Re: North Washington St Bridge

Love what this area is going through. Buildings are great, but this is people moving - autos, bikes, peds. It’s exciting to see this area of the city bloom from the emptiness and rotted wood pile...

Re: Rio Grande (née Dudley Square Residential Tower) | Washington St. | Roxbury

Key word in your post is "if".

What's the alternative?

Look at the location. Boston is booming. Northeastern University is more than booming. It's going to gentrify anyway. If done by small...

Re: Rio Grande (née Dudley Square Residential Tower) | Washington St. | Roxbury

Were there 46 affordable units on that location previously? If not, this is a net gain.

I understand the concern for what it does to surrounding rents, but if MORE of these are built, then there...

Let's not look a gift horse in the mouth. A skyscraper is going up in ROXBURY. :)

Re: Kenmore Square North

That was the point.

This isn't some parking lot in Malden.

It's Kenmore Square.

Height isn't the issue. The generic nature of it is.

Re: One Kenmore Square | 560 Commonwealth Avenue | Kenmore Square

Fair question.

Once again, the architecture is subjective - - be that as it may - I like both buildings' architecture. The separation occurs in the next two points:

Second, 560 Comm is well...

Re: One Kenmore Square | 560 Commonwealth Avenue | Kenmore Square

Opinions are always subjective, but a lot of folks feel the design and massing of this building is far more conscious and respectful to its surroundings than the BU Stack of Books building plunked...

Re: Encore Boston Harbor Casino | Everett

As a child of the '70's, sometimes, I just have to step back, smile and enjoy that we are having these types of discussions about Chelsea/Everett. Progress is good.

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I'm all for a more bright nighttime skyline, but I find it more important that the STREETS are lit up more at night - - humanoid life! (i.e. when I'm in Times Square, NYC, I'm fascinated by the...

Re: South Boston Infill and Small Projects

I agree, Suffolk, but my point wasn't so much about the architecture of the building in isolation, but what it does in context to that square. Its effect (compared to what was there previously in...

Re: South Boston Infill and Small Projects

Hey, to each his/her own opinion, but it looks pretty nice to me. I wish the developers of the "Kenmore Square North" corner were making 50% of the effort that is seen here.

Re: Residences at Brighton Marine | 1465 Comm. Ave | Brighton

I love, love, love this building. The developers/architects really got creative given the spot. It's a nice dramatic changeup, yet still is contextual to its surroundings. That's not an easy...
