Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

amazing pix DZH22 -- thanks so much!!!

this tower is crazy under-rated. everything about it is just perfect. i love the darker glass, the shape, the curves, proportions, the subtlety, the way it...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

i also think the overall thing will effectively "pop" more than it...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

i love lit up crowns, too, and wish boston had more, but if this comes out as per the render then the lit-up tree will be tasteful and elegant -- and i suspect that it'll nonetheless be pretty...

Re: Regional Rail (including North-South Rail Link)

heh.

i was thinking more of a light-rail -- like you'd see in, say, frankfurt (just got back from there) or manchester or any number of other places globally. absolutely possible for above-ground...

Re: Regional Rail (including North-South Rail Link)

well, yeah, but my point is that worked as a south station/north station connector (albeit not for passengers) until 1970. instead of figuring out the intricacies of getting a north/south connector...

Re: Regional Rail (including North-South Rail Link)

anyone have any insight into why having the above-ground union freight railroad (atlantic ave and commercial street) connect south and north stations worked fine for years co-existing with automotive...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

didn't michael dell buy a penthouse back in 2017 (http://www.bldup.com/posts/michael-dell-scoops-up-second-boston-penthouse-at-61-story-one-dalton-tower)? didn't herb chambers do the same...

Re: Ode to Brutalism

this comment realy confuses me. have you not been downtown at night for a few years? city hall has been uplit nearly every night for many years. google "boston city hall night" and the images that...

Re: One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion

hearty agreement with both points. i've made the comparision before (and maybe you have, too?) b/w one boston and the hancock center. also think it looks like darth vader's personal office-building....

Re: BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

Re: BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

it's exciting, bold, not in any way "normal" or average.

if this was going up in london, barcelona, NYC, or pretty much anywhere, folks on AB would be bitching about "how come boston can never...

Re: South Boston Infill and Small Projects

it's not the sugar-white sand with crystal blue water beaches of the bahamas, but they're not "unenjoyable" beaches by any stretch. i and mine swim there often and i/we are absolutely lifetime locals.

Re: What's Happening With Project X?

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

this maybe should go somewhere in the general discussion area, but since most of em are from 1 dalton, i figure i'll put this (https://thepicdeer.com/hashtags/local4boston) here. pretty cool...
