Re: The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

I work in the trucking industry and one thing that's very common in areas that have very tight spaces such as this is using an angled dock. They'll make it so the dock is angled at 45 degrees, so...

Re: Motor Mart Tower | 201 Stuart Str. | Park Sq | Boston

I like it but it really needs more height...it's trying to be sleek but the actual form is pretty squat. I know it'll never happen, but if this could reach 500+ ft, it'd be a beauty.

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Great shots everyone! I'm flying to Boston this week and can't wait to see this in person. I think this, along with Filene's Tower are the most exciting Boston towers of my lifetime...after seeing...

Re: Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

After the project started coming together so nicely, this is sort of a rough way to wrap it up. I don't think it looks horrid, especially from afar, but it's not great. However am I wrong to say...

That definitely seems reasonable given its location.

Re: Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

Good call. Everyone seemed to be so down on this project just a couple of months ago.

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I'm very happy that this project is now in the "beautiful pictures posted daily" phase of construction. It made me giddy to see Filene's in that stage, and I feel the same way now. Eventually we'll...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Wow, that looks so sleek. If my count is correct, that's still got another ~15 stories to go, right?

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Great shots 02124! It's great to see this building making such great progress. When is this expected to top out? Mid-summer?

Re: Lovejoy Wharf | 131 Beverly Street | West End

I remember them doing the same thing in Brazil...a few times I visited "pre-lançamento" places with my wife. They essentially build sales offices on site with some minor construction prep being done...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Good point. I didn't take that into consideration. It is very, very strange that they themselves are promoting this as the "Gateway" but are totally fine using this design for it.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I'm no architect, but doesn't it say something bad about the effort that went into this building that when complaints were made about the design and the response was to move around pieces of the...

I don't post all that often relative to some other people, but I do check the site several times a week, and over the past year or so the tone of the site has become a lot more combative and cunty. ...

Re: The New Retail Thread

Totally agree. Brazil has no public drinking laws either, so when I was living in São Paulo, oftentimes on Friday I would grab a beer for the walk home from the office. It was great being able to...

Re: The New Retail Thread

Bos77 did a good job of mentioning areas where I think Massachusetts could definitely relax on. I think it would also be wise to relax on some of the permit/licensing for things like food trucks,...

Re: The New Retail Thread

Boston is generally considered buttoned-up, traditional, etc., and I think Portland, OR is considered the complete opposite...hippies, hipsters, and the intent of being whatever the opposite of...

Re: The New Retail Thread

Food trucks oftentimes offer unconventional or ethnic foods from places people aren't familiar with...stuff banks aren't necessarily going to give out a loan for a business for. Beyond that, I think...
