Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

I had an idea this morning to mitigate SL3, 112, and 77 bridge issues.

Simply put, make it so that only one drawbridge can be up at a time.

When the Chelsea St bridge is up, buses take the...

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

Let's say hypothetically there was to be dedicated bus lanes from SLW to Eastern Ave. Is it possible based on the infrastructure that exists today?

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

Sooooo. Any word on 1) Introduction of electric buses 2) Accurate countdown timers 3) Charliecar kiosks at all SL3 stops?

Also I can't wait for the Lounge at Winisimmit. Wish it was in bldup.

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

It'll never happen but a Massport Eastern Ave - Airport loop could solve for this as well. A Chelsea - Airport loop would also help greatly.

Re: Chelsea

How "long" do you think it will be before it makes sense again? Does the SL3 change that outlook? What about Amazon?

Re: Chelsea

I think the city could just throw up some cheap facades that mimic apartment building facades. Probably wouldn't be very expensive.

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

The SL3 was pretty clutch today tbh. I got to work in 40 mins, far better than the hour it can take when I walk to Wood island.

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

That's the difference between SL3 is the best option most of the time vs it's the best option every time. Whose campaign do i have to donate to to get them to buy 2 more buses?

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

I took it several times over the weekend. All in all, very pleased. I'd say it's marginally better than the Green Line in terms of performance. I'm glad they are enthusiastic about optimization. A...

Hey so in a world where the SL3 is the urban ring, where does it go from here without being stupid like going to Maiden? Wellington maybe, then Davis?
