Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

The Westin is only a disaster because of it's abysmal ground floor.

Re: I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

WTF... I don't really get what this accomplishes at all. This feels like the most complicated of options.

Re: Downtown Crossing

It doesn't help that we're in the twilight of retail stores. The future of that area is banks and dead zones between generic chain restaurants.

The State needs to fix the liquor license situation...

Re: Worcester Improvements

Meh. The building was in the wrong location. I grew up there in Worcester, it won't be missed if it helps revitalize downtown.

Re: The New Retail Thread

I heard a rumor the owner was a million dollars in debt... then a random fire in the attic a few weeks later. Then again I thought there was a sale at some point. I dunno... I don't it's coming back...

Re: Emerson College - Little Building Addition + Renovation | 80 Boylston St | Downto

Some of the glass appears to be installed in the new filled in areas on Tremont. I was walking quickly and it was twilight but it looked extremely transparent which bodes well.

Re: The New Retail Thread

There was someone in there this evening taking all the stuff off the walls and cleaning. It's anybodies guess at this point.

Re: South Station Tower

The Back Bay Station redevelopment project... calling it a tower is a bit of a stretch though. It's a bunch of 350-400 ft boxes if I recall.

Re: Suffolk Downs Redevelopment

I'm pretty skeptical this will end up feeling any better than a suburban office park with housing.

Re: Worcester Improvements

It's simply not a walking city. It has never really been one either.

Downtown is pretty dead, no doubt, but Worcester is a city of neighborhoods and each neighborhood tends to have its own (often...

The only people who call Worcester dead are people who don't spend anytime in it.

Re: 121 Seaport Boulevard | Parcel L2 | Seaport Square

It'll be interesting to see how the Office market responds over the next few years. Even if housing cools off there are a lot of growing businesses in Boston that will need more space.

Re: Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower (GCG Phase I) | 50 Sudbury St | Gov't Center

Yea losing that facade really sucks. I wish the city put up more of a fight to preserve it.

Re: Motor Mart Tower | 201 Stuart Str. | Park Sq | Boston

The garage already has an active street presence so this is not a big upgrade for the area beyond the density.

I like the design and I think it should be built. A bit taller would have been nice,...

Get your cocks out boys! We're circle-jerking about tall towers again.

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

They take the work elevator to near the top and then cross over on one of the anchor braces attached to the tower. Still some climbing but not 60 stories worth :)

Re: Amazon HQ2 selected - and not Boston

Blame the tepid entrenched Democratic legislature for not being interested in progressive transportation policy. The governor isn't the problem in this state.

Re: Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

Re: Unions are Good! Or Bad!

I don't really have a problem with private unions. I have a big problem with public sector unions.

That said... The Marriott thing needs to stop. My roommate and I are getting tired of being woken...

Re: One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion

This looks infinitely better than what is there right now... and I like the new render more than the previous one. What the fuck are you people bitching about?
