Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I wonder if they had some final touch work going on in the Hub that closed it off, because when I went to the Bruins on Thanksgiving weekend they were using the new exit (see my photo a few pages...

Re: Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

Part of the adjoining land on the Portland side is owned by the city; the Council has it on their docket to sell to Waterstone with a positive recommendation from staff, but they haven't pulled the...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

So, does anyone think there will still be a (T) meatball on the entry facade? There was originally supposed to be one in between "NORTH" and "STATION," but there isn't room on the sign that was put...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Unfortunately, the staff memo to the HPB says, "wouldn't you prefer some nice, red bricks?"

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

From what I see on the webcams, it looks like the topping-off flag is going up on the residential tower!

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

That was a big reason that I stopped to take the photo.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

The TD Garden sign was mounted yesterday as well (visible on the live cam). But, isn't there supposed to be a (T) logo in between "North" and "Station"? (Plus, I hope the lighting behind the North...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Try January; I just looked and the Hyatt was around $140-150.

Re: Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

There is grading going on and some (I think) pile drivers on site. At one of the meetings they said they were planning on pouring the slab in the spring.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

What is the building in the middle of that photo that looks like an edge-on view of a stack of corrugated cardboard boxes?

Re: Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Is there some design-theory reason to make the topmost floor of each podium a different color? Because, to my lay eye, it just looks lame, and in the case of the west building the gray distracts...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Honestly, the whole "looks like it belongs in Florida" thing has never made sense to me (and this isn't an attack on you, it's my personal taste). I see nothing wrong with having a big white hotel...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Personally, I've always liked the bright white. I'm not a big fan of earth tones in general TBH.
