Re: Winter Garden | 100 Federal St. | Financial District

Funny that the "winter" garden won't be open until Spring!

Re: Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

The offices have large open floor plates because that's what the market wants. What makes it different here is that there is a height restriction. In a place like midtown Manhattan you'd have a...

Re: Back Bay Garage Tower | Dartmouth and Stuart | Back Bay

They demanded $3 million for shadows. That's why we can't have nice things.

Re: Reasonable Transit Pitches

A flyover through a wet land? That's DOA. Besides you don't need a costly fly over, you just built a west bound lane adjacent to the existing off ramp which would go under the bridge. There is more...

Re: I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Kinda odd they don't have the tallest buildings along Storrow and the River.

Re: Allston-Brighton Developments

Let's knock something nice down and replace it with a cheap knock off!

Honestly I'd rather they just built a 12 story tower here if they have to knock the original building down. The new height...

Re: South Station Tower

Amtrak has always been a thorn in the side of the MTA for their projects. East Side Access (LIRR into Grand Central) is held up because of Amtrak access through Sunnyside Yards, the Moynihan Station...

Re: Jackson Square

Nice but boring. I do like the site plan. I think the small spaces will be well used. I also think this could have included a taller tower given how close it is to the T.

Re: 50 Liberty @ Fan Pier | 50 Liberty Drive | Seaport

This reminds me of a short version of Toronto where all the buildings have the same glass and look the same.

Re: Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

Every time you post an unrelated post abut why there aren't 1000' towers in Boston God kills a kitten.

Re: Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

I mean growing up there I never felt like Arlingtonians thought it was dumb to stop the Red Line. But keep in mind the Arlington of 1980 and the Arlington of 2000 are very different. Still most...

Re: Amazon HQ2 RFP

That is the lamest office park Boston has come up with yet. It makes the Seaport look downright cosmopolitan. Squat towers in the park.

Furthermore with sealevel rise this is probably the worst...

Re: SBWTC /South Boston Waterfront Transportation Center | Seaport

You know what the worst thing about this ugly project is? Of all the buildings that you would want to cover a highway a parking garage is probably the cheapest one to build. Just cantilever it...

Re: One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion

Ehh I don't love the existing building but glass boxes are so boring. At least it has character now.

Re: The Lucas | 136 Shawmut Ave | South End

While I love the renovation and I think the materials on the new part are great I still think that this just looks terrible together.

Re: North-South Rail Link

That is very deep. From what I've heard the Central Station has been dropped to save money. Stations mined that deep would easily cost $1 billion so dropping a station makes sense.
