Re: Logan Flight Additions

I tried out the Norwegian flights to Ireland/Northern Ireland out of PVD last week, I'd recommend them. They were both fully packed. I guess Norwegian is finding a market, despite flying between...

Re: The Boston Three Decker as Housing Stock

Well the three deckers have certinally withstood the test of time. I do like them better then other cities cheap (relative) housing stock.

Re: Briv

I have to say, this process would be super easy if Briv would spend 5 mins to give one of us access to this site. In fact we wouldn't even have to move.

Re: Briv

I don't think that the money aspect is enough where we need to add paid subscriptions. Not sure of the exact costs but I don't think it would be more then 200 a year to host a site.

Some...

Re: Indianapolis, a Bike Haven City

The advantage that the flyover and sun belt states have over boston is that the streets are much wider to begin with, so building bike lanes is easy.

Re: Open Thread

If you've never been, take the ferry to Provincetown for a day.

Agree with Newburyport. Marblehead is beautiful, but more residential then touristy. I think Salem would be better for a...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Well, in the pru's case, that was the same time period that highways were built ripping through neighborhoods.

I'm more shocked that they were able to build storrow and the pike.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

440k square feet. So likely 2000 to 3500 employees.

Of course it's Verizon that wants to build a building as hideous as its logo.

We're willing to pay for a new site that's no problem. Here's the issue. We have a 12 year archive of posts that we don't want to lose, but the admin has been totally absent these last few years. ...

Especially for international flights.

Outside of the part of CT closer to NYC Logan is the international airport for New England.

Re: Logan Flight Additions

Bostons CSA includes 8.1 million people, so I wouldn't call it small. That's the 6th largest in the country.

And Logan is the 16th busiest airport in the country.

Re: Crazy Transit Pitches

I'd make the Orange line past Forest Hills into two branches. To the north you could make another branch towards the Newburyport Rockport line, through Everett and Cheslea.

Re: Peabody/Danvers Branch Rail Proposal

I know it'll never happen, but I'd love to see the blue line extended up to Salem, maybe even Peabody. The Blue Line uses light rail sized portals, so maybe it'll fit in the single track Peabody...

Re: Whiskey Priest/Atlantic Beer Garden Redevelopment | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Disregarding the label, i'm just happy that this is moving forward. As rendered this is good architecture, if it looks anything like the renders it'll be the best looking building in the Seaport.
