Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Yea, this. And then there is the threat to notify the photographer. There's something unsettling about that post/comment on a magnitude many times beyond a single instance of alleged copyright...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

This. The architecture of the "people who sent men to the moon" is unhuman garbage and nothing would bring me more joy than leveling it and wiping its memory from the city landscape. It is a complete...

Re: Whiskey Priest/Atlantic Beer Garden Redevelopment | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Interesting is one word for it. I'm assuming most people don't know who Bradley Campbell is (or the CLF) but he and his organization went through a wood chipper in the paper of record in the city...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Ridiculous. Worcester would kill for something that tall and that good. It's twice the height of anything in Worcester and much better designed (yea, Worcester's three "towers" aren't exactly...

Re: South Station Tower

Can't this be said about most latter-half 20th century styles that were designed around a concept rather than what people might actually find attractive to look at?

A lot of this stuff looks good...

Re: Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

I went by a few weeks ago and think it's inoffensive in person, at least when viewed from Post Office Square. You don't really notice it because it blends into the other buildings unless you're...

Re: DOT Parcels 25, 26, 27, 28 Kneeland Street

I think he's suggesting the optics and/or potential future ramifications of a bid that is extremely low compared to the desired asking price would be bad.

Re: The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

Reading the comments section of any online news-like publication/article is generally a life mistake. Only crazy (likely also older) people hang out there. You're basically filtering for the most...

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Nah, I don't think so. Boston City Hall is an inhuman monstrosity. This thing looks like it will just be a towering mediocrity. It will fade into the skyline and people will mostly forget or never...

Re: Whiskey Priest/Atlantic Beer Garden Redevelopment | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

Another waterfront park. It's hard to yawn hard enough at that.

If the developer is going to be shaken down for $13M then it should only be by the city as part of some sort of coherent plan for...

Re: Emerson College - Little Building Addition + Renovation | 80 Boylston St | Downto

I may be misremembering but I thought they needed to cannibalize facade from the cut-in areas (that are being filled in) to repair the facade along the street? Supposedly the facade was in very poor...

Re: South Boston Infill and Small Projects

It is truly hideous. I'm not sure what that Tokyo comment is supposed to mean.

A craft brewery. Just in time for the craft brewery industry bubble to burst.

Re: Tragic possibility for Providence

Shocking. Is the building in such poor condition that renovation is cost-prohibitive?

Re: City Hall - Redevelopment - Preservation - Relocation $150-200 million over 5 years? Why not just rent some office space somewhere downtown and get out of the building maintenance business? That has to be cheap in the long run, no?

Re: Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Is that the city limits of Boston? Boston city limits are tiny compared to many other major American cities. You really need to set a radius or something or at least use whatever the generally...

Re: Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike PARCEL 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

This. There seems to be a frequent sentiment that every project needs to knock the ball out of the park. It's an impossible standard. Even if the Pike phase never occurs this seems like a significant...

Re: Fenway Area Redevelopment

The adjacent gas station and single story structure look like prime development spots. Any buzz on those properties?

Re: 100 Pier 4 | 136-146 Northern Avenue | Seaport

Re: Winthrop Square Garage Being Demolished

Because people who are totally unqualified to have opinions on anything are allowed to insert themselves and their whack-a-doodle thoughts in the approval process.

What Boston needs is an...

Re: MIT New 450-bed Residence Hall | 121 Vassar St. | Cambridge

With a view of an athletics field, basically a park, MIT has decided to build the smallest windows possible? And compounded it with a sterile facade. That thing is disgraceful.

Re: The Lucas | 136 Shawmut Ave | South End

I walked by a week ago and my take is this thing photographs poorly. Not that it looks good in person, instead just basically a nothingburger in person, but it's a disaster when photographed.
