Re: State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Totally dysfunctional crap. I couldn't walk in that garage without hitting my head on multiple pipes and other overhead infrastructure, and I am not unusually tall.

Re: Parcel P (Foundation Medicine) | 400 Summer Street | Seaport

Re: South Station Tower | South Station | Downtown

Putting a roof over it doesn't mean that it automatically must be a dank, dark tunnel.

Re: General MBTA Discussion Thread

Parking should be free for arrivals after 5:00. Most of the lots are at 10-20% utilization by 7:00, might as well incentivize additional off-peak ridership.

Re: Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

I think that actually is accessible. If you look at the Page 22 render, the accessible route does something like 7 zig zags while the stairs cut through the ramping.

Re: New Red and Orange Line Cars

I feel like you could get the best of both with articulated trains in three car sets.

Re: Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

Re: San Francisco high-rise sinking, tilting

The plan is to allow the sinking side so that the other side will sink a bit to relevel it.

Re: MBTA Bus & BRT

I can't see how the infrastructure costs for catenary are at all logical when battery-electric buses are so close on the horizon.

Re: North-South Rail Link

Wait, are you comparing summer '17 traffic to current fall traffic? It's lighter every summer from every direction.

Re: Assembly Row (Assembly Sq Redevelopment) | Assembly Square | Somerville

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Seems like a 3rd escalator would have been a smart thing here for reliability purposes.
