Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

For what it's worth, Boston Properties announced their fourth quarter 2017 earnings yesterday. During the call, they apparently announced that they have started construction on the 440-unit...

Re: Silver Line to Chelsea

Something I noticed this weekend driving through the TWT. The trooper in front of us was heading east toward the airport. As he/she approached the open air section between the connector tunnel and...

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

OMG....this project has not been approved. It is only in the application phase. NOTHING HAS BEEN APPROVED.

There is likely another 12 to 16 months - perhaps more - of hearings, meetings,...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Noticed the same exact thing....that vertical beam is definitely higher than the full podium level as depicted in the renderings.

Re: Waterside Place 1B | 505 Congress Street | Seaport

Just an update....I walked by this site today. Construction fencing is up and there is a large "Suffolk" construction sign on the fencing.

This seems to be poised to get started.

Re: Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

Based on this list, is it safe to assume fare control gates are still out?

Re: General MBTA Discussion Thread

How does this work when the station platform is immediately before a signaled intersection?

The two biggest examples that come to my mind are Coolidge Corner (crosses Harvard Street) and St. Paul...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Just to followup on this from last week...

I was wrong....steel has begun to be installed in the parking levels of the second half of the site.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Just an update. It looks like a mat-slab foundation was poured yesterday and there is rebar being staged on the newly poured floor.

A surprising development....it seems a third crane is about to...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

This is pure conjecture on my part, but here is my prediction based on what we have seen so far and what I can see via the Webcam.

It appears that they are preparing the bottom of the site for...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Is it possible that the podium/hotel portion could be primarily steel and the residential tower is cast-in-place concrete? If that's the case, isn't the core usually constructed with the concrete...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

There was definitely a crane jump over the weekend. I can confirm, I was having lunch at Flour Saturday afternoon when they were adding one of the segments. (at least 3 were added as two additional...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Via the Webcam, looks like the climbing form for the core on the second tower is being dismantled.

Not sure what to make of that as the core is currently taller than the phase 1 podium for this...

Re: Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

The excavation on the portion of the site that will contain the 14-story building has ramped up in the past couple of weeks, so it looks like both of these will be going simultaneously.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

If you look at the Webcam, you can see that this project is still very much in the digging phase, though there are some signs this stage is almost complete.

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Just throwing this out there as a theory....are you a city resident? Is a city agency able to enter comments into the public record from somebody who isn't a city resident or doesn't have a specific...

Re: Quaker Lane + Congress Square | Downtown

The Downtown Boston BID had a post on Facebook saying that the hotel would be a new "Hyatt Centric." That's been the only thing resembling a public announcement of this portion of the project.

Re: Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

That view from the 93N is a bit jarring at top. Frankly, if they didn't want the expense of closing the entire roof, it probably would have gone a long way if they had simply sheathed the inner...

Re: Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

I think the W across the street would actually be slightly taller than this, perhaps by a mere couple of feet?

Re: Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

Just an FYI...according to the city's Website, the full building permit for this building was issued on January 9. (Erection permit for a 23-story hotel with 340 rooms)

The developer appears...

Re: Innovation Dist. / South Boston Seaport

FWIW...that equipment on Parcel M has been sitting there since at least late October. Since the machinery showed up, that site has been awfully quiet and there has been next to no press on the...

Re: Allston-Brighton Developments

I'm not sure how new to the area this form of construction is.

My old condo building in Revere was constructed using this technique.

145 Bennington Street - constructed in 2007.

Re: Copley Place Expansion and Tower | Back Bay

I just saw this come across on Twitter...sorry to be the one to post bad news.

FWIW...I've always had my suspicions about Simon's committment to build this tower. They are a shopping mall...

Re: One Bromfield | 1 Bromfield Street | Downtown

I really don't think anybody on this board is necessarily lamenting the loss of an off-brand shoe store at this site.

What they are lamenting is the loss of a authentic, well constructed pre-war...
