Bike lanes have been striped on Lexington Street in Waltham from Windsor Village to Curve Street. It even is a buffered bike lane northbound at the High School.

The City of Waltham has awarded a contract for $409,310 for the design of the 3-mile section of the Wayside Rail Trail in the city. This is a milestone and is a very long time coming.

Your problem is the state spent millions rebuilding the piers 2 years ago. They arent going to do anything with those anytime soon.

To do that over the bridge you would have to seriously reinforce the piers holding up the bridge to handle the extra weight and redesign the entire bridge to hold extra weight.

DCR has just announced they will be repaving and repairing the section of the Charles River Greenway in Waltham from Elm Street to Farwell Street. The path will be closed for 2 weeks for the work.

Yes, the project includes relocating the ramp carrying I-90 WB to Route 128 traffic further away from the 128 SB on-ramp to eliminate the weaving of traffic.
