Re: Fantasy T maps

Any fantasy map that doesn't include GL to Seaport in Piers Transitway Tunnel - one way or another - isn't "realistic" enough in my fantasy book.

Or at least show the stations that receive...

Re: Fantasy T maps

^ Yep! Another option: it eats the straight-shot Comm Ave B line to Packards Corner (like you've said on the C, the stop spacing is pretty clear) and the Comm Ave mall now extends down to Packards....

Re: Design a Better Lot

90% of the Huntington/South Huntington problem would be eliminated if street parking were eliminated.

Re: Boston Bombing Memorial | Boylston St | Back Bay

Daytime view looks great. The lightsaber nighttime lighting... I don't get it. They could have done simple uplighting/spotlighting.

Re: Newton Developments

I'm all for this. That said, I don't understand why Newton is prioritizing development on and around Needham Street and the Pike/Washington St corridors. They should be upzoning and densifying where...

Re: MBTA Bus & BRT

No, I'm inclined to say that this should entirely replace SL1. But also, instead of sneijder's routing (which I agree is the fastest) I'd stay on Summer and get onto 90 at D Street. That way you can...

Re: What's Happening With Project X?

Is Boylston St the in Back Bay being redone? Looks like they have removed some trees, are prepping for a wider north-side sidewalk in places (?) and are generally out reconstructing things?

Re: Worcester Ballpark & Redev

Maybe this thread should be in Greater New England (not sure) but it does deserve it's own thread especially if it's transformative. I only click into the broad Worcester thread occasionally when I...

Re: NYC Architecture and Development

Also, in contention for worst new-ish building anywhere in the universe, I submit 15 William. Who thought this was a good idea for lower Manhattan?

Re: The Boston "what if" thread

Traffic would in fact be better, but only because there would be fewer residents and fewer jobs in a city strangled by highways and ramps in which nobody wants to live and work.

Re: Attleboro Downtown Redevelopment

Thanks! My local radius takes me to the Unlikely Story bookstore in Plainville (https://www.anunlikelystory.com/) - beautiful place - as well as Briggs Nursery in North Attleboro. I guess next time...

Re: Attleboro Downtown Redevelopment

Hi Evo,

Can you give some context to what Attleboro is like, for those of us who aren't familiar? I don't live all that far away, actually, but I have never been through.

Re: archBOSTON Update: A New Dawn

Hi Skyrise,

Thank you for taking this on. I'm sure you did your due-diligence on this purchase, so you must have had a sense for the fact that Briv was absent day-to-day and that we we largely...

Re: Official City Hall Plaza Proposals

$70 Million (!) that won't make much of a difference.

In winter it will still be cold and lifeless. In summer people will have many other nearby parks they'd just as likely be patronizing.

They...

Re: Dock Square Parking Garage | 20 Clinton Street |

Page 28 plots out the ground floor program. Retail along the Greenway is very positive, even if the facade itself at street level will be hideous. Clinton Street really gets the shaft, which is...
