Re: Redevelopment of Symphony Huntington Properties

Yea I enjoy the small and varied shops there. Once you lose places that house these they're gone forever

Re: Boston Bombing Memorial | Boylston St | Back Bay

I think the design is fine enough but it was really pissing me off how long this took. It should've been done in March easy

Re: 1000 Boylston Street | MassDOT Parcel 15 | Back Bay

If we're sure this is dead (one tweet from someone isnt necessarily gospel) its probably due to the impending recession.

Re: Redevelopment of Symphony Huntington Properties

Re: Redevelopment of Symphony Huntington Properties

Am I the only one reading this as Symphony Hall itself is going to be left alone?

Re: South Boston Infill and Small Projects

Re: Gables Seaport (née Waterside Place 1B) | 505 Congress Street | Seaport

This building is bizarre, I saw it looming from the water and had no clue what it was, just looked like a monstrosity in the backround

Re: Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Fair point but looking at the past isnt always the best way to predict the future.

Re: Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

Yes that's just one possibility, or people have their own drones they fly around in. You see airports and travel being exactly the same in 50 years?

Re: Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

The seaport is incredibly short sighted for this fact alone- you think air travel is going to be the same in 50 years? The buildings close to downtown anyway could've built structurally to add on...

Re: Tracking affordable housing

IMO the city should stop letting new buildings put the affordable units elsewhere. This putting the have-nots in some corner somewhere is bullshit.

Re: Rio Grande (née Dudley Square Residential Tower) | Washington St. | Roxbury

Re: Rio Grande (née Dudley Square Residential Tower) | Washington St. | Roxbury

Yea but if this encourages a sea change in dudley and other buildings arent held to higher standard than the Boston bottom level of affordable housing then the old residents get pushed out.

Re: Rio Grande (née Dudley Square Residential Tower) | Washington St. | Roxbury

A project of this size and scope would be amazing for Dudley and Roxbury as a whole and in my opinion the design doesnt matter. Hopefully Roxbury can figure out how to get new development without...

Re: South Boston Infill and Small Projects

Re: What's Happening With Project X?

771 Harrison has been undergoing renovations for some time, judging by how long it's taken other church conversions I wouldn't hold my breath.

The bump outs on Boylston st are for the 2 bombing...

Re: 401 Park Drive (formerly Landmark Center) | Fenway

Its enraging? really? The middle 20th century was not kind to Boston, I didn't think anybody at this point would bat an eyelash at old news

Re: 40 Trinity Place | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

Cuz that's what everybody does, duh. Feels like everything north of Atlanta and east of Ohio gets compared to NY, it is obnoxious
