Re: North Station, Charles River Draw, & Tower A

I would suspect that the long deep locks and the systems to cycle them would be more expensive than the drawbridges.

Are there examples where people have done that (dropped boats down under...

Re: Marriott Moxy Hotel | 240 Tremont Street (Parcel P-7A) | Theater District

Looks like we might be getting some small, fire rated windows on the back side, on the property line.

Re: North Station, Charles River Draw, & Tower A

Bidding process has started to replace the two North Station drawspans with two three-track drawbridges.

Re: Goddard House | 201 S. Huntington | Jamacia Plain

^ I am clearly not the target demographic for that name (BRYNX), because I have no idea what it is supposed to evoke as a brand.

Re: Education First (Phase III) | 10 North Point Blvd | Cambridge

I never really got the school of architecture that feels it is their lot in life to inflict pain.

Re: Fenway Area Redevelopment

NIMBYs also push back on traffic and crowds. Of course, if you choose to live in the Fenway area, it is not like you are not on notice that there will be traffic and crowds.

Re: Housing a Changing City: Boston 2030

Mayor Walsh has increased the target for housing development in Boston, now 69,000 units by 2030, up from 50,000 units. 22% to be affordable.

Increase is driven by new population forecasts for...

Re: Official City Hall Plaza Proposals

EUR = Esposizione Universale Roma -- Mussolini's grand business/residential district just south of central Rome, planned for the 1942 world's fair (that never happened).

Re: What's Happening With Project X?

Maybe.

GSA can be innovative with Volpe, because they get an independent building (much easier to handle security that way).

GSA is not very fond of mixed use commercial/Fed in the same...

Re: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial | Boston Common | Downtown

I like the recommended positioning of The Embrace (clasped hands), over closer to the Parkman Bandstand. Much better than the monuments that mess with the view of the State House.

Re: Kenmore Square North

If CITGO agrees (likely for $$), then of course it is not infringement. Companies, even defunct ones, often license their trade dress (good local example is Polaroid, who is defunct, yet their logo...

Re: Downtown Crossing

You mean like:

Legal Crossing
Ruka
Back Deck
Sip
Salvatore's
Q Restaurant

They are there; they are just clustered near the Theatre District, where the evening crowds are.

Re: The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown
