Re: Millennium Tower (Filene's) -Discussion and Photo Thread

I don't care much where the thread lives, but definitely put me in the camp of not wanting two threads for one building.

Personally I'd break "Development Projects" in into Current and Completed...

Re: Board Decorum

I'll be blunt: Briv is the problem. He has total control of the forum but doesn't care enough to spend a few minutes setting new administrators, yet will not hand things over to someone who does...

Re: Amazon HQ2 RFP

If Bezos wants to make an impact politically I think that is a point for DC (for obvious reasons) and for Philadelphia (because Amazon may have the power to turn a purple state blue).

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

^ Fear makes people act irrationally and this proposal is frighteningly bad.

On the other hand, it's great to see that garage come down.

Am I crazy or is 90% of that article about the good Amazon is doing for the city.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

How long until the ridiculous highway ramps/bridge are taken down?

Re: Photo of the Day, Boston Style: Part X (2017)

I generally agree with most of your posts, but I think you may be romanticizing this one just a bit. This bridge hasn't been right since the el was removed (not that I ever saw that for myself), and...

Re: Winthrop Square Garage Being Demolished

I guess I should have been more specific. I was referring specifically to the first few floors abutting the garage.

Re: Winthrop Square Garage Being Demolished

Sorry if I missed this, but are there any known plans for 75/101? I guess they'll just clean up the wall?

Re: Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Just pointing out that this is great example of why locking threads is counterproductive.

Van, I appreciate your intention, but the shitshow was inevitable. At least before it would have been a...

Re: Motor Mart Tower | 201 Stuart Str. | Park Sq | Boston

Street level facade isn't very good. The Lincoln Square garage entrance would be a good place for a residential lobby. Everything above that needs to be left alone.

Re: Wynn Everett Casino | Everett

^ After the Ponte Giovane suggestion (which would be too great to ever happen) I'm not sure what type of gondola you're suggesting.

I'd take either.

Re: $34.50 toll for 10 miles of travel in Northern Virgi8nia

Thanks. I guess that's a reasonable stopgap until they implement smarter image/video processing.

MPGe is an imperfect measurement and generally understates the advantage of a ZEV in comparison...

Re: Amazon HQ2 RFP

The primary purpose of most of KMP's posts lately is just to let people know he has money. Don't take him too seriously.

Re: $34.50 toll for 10 miles of travel in Northern Virgi8nia

The Post states that there is an HOV EZPass transponder setting, but how do they verify that there are multiple people in a vehicle? How realistic does a manikin need to be to fool one of these...

Re: Rosa Parks Boulevard

Is this thread for real? I thought this was only used as a slippery slope argument by those in favor of honoring leaders of the confederacy.

Re: Summer St. Gondola

Leaving aside ROI/efficiency/etc. I can't be the only one here who would prefer riding in a gondola to riding in a bus, right?

Though some may try to forget it, Boston is a tourist city. Tourists...
