Re: State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

647' was the number circulated in the BPDA documents. Somewhere in that vicinity.

Re: South Station Tower | South Station | Downtown

It probably doesn't, but many of us dealt with the big dig and lived to tell the tale. Take solace in the fact that we will all survive this, too.

Re: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial | Boston Common | Downtown

You can always block him instead of spewing vitriol and further derailing the thread; that's what I did recently, and it's done wonders for my blood pressure.

Half the time his comments are...

Re: Crossroads at Kenmore | 560 Commonwealth Ave | Kenmore Square

The facade reminds me of basalt columns...I immediately thought of svartifoss in Iceland.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

The side of Portal Park closest to the Hub is completely dug up..including the trees. Staging for office tower construction perhaps? Sad to lose those trees, particularly if they keep those on the...

Re: Longfellow Place (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

They aren't even done with the slurry walls and there is a significant garage component to this, so excavation will take a while (assuming they aren't going the "top down" route).

Re: Julie Hall | Brookline Ave | Emanuel College | Fenway

Can you stop barfing all over every thread with your too short BS. We get it. Start your own thread, make a post that says "all buildings built in Boston are too short" and go away.

Re: Suffolk Downs Redevelopment

I think I've said this before, but I really wish there was some restoration of the Belle Isle Inlet as part of the development plan. I would have loved to see some larger riparian buffers from the...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

^It's a policy (not even written policy), and the BPDA administers it. The Pru and State Street pre-dated the policy I believe. All decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

It's the champions row entrance that is almost ready. The subway connection is still walled off as of this morning.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I'm curious about the timing of the office phase - they appear to be installing some type of metal sheathing around the perimeter of the existing mechanical penthouse over the podium. It looks like...

Re: MXD II | 325 Main St. | Kendall Square

From what I can tell, based on the renders, the Sand People will be quite pleased with the design.

For what it's worth, Citgo may not be Venezuelan owned in the near future. Apparently companies that lost billions of dollars via Venezuela's expropriation of assets could seize US-based Citgo...

That's an articulating boom for the concrete pump. That's how they pour the concrete for each floor.

Or...open the dam a bit more frequently. Provide better connectivity for diadromous fish, AND attenuate the epic eutrophication and pollutant issues upstream of the dam.

The dam has been poorly...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I agree that taller would definitely improve the AR and help the design overall. However, my contention is that its only a solution if the building's (ugly) facade design does not call attention to...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I work on Causeway Street and noticed them taking the panels down too. The first panels they had put up started to wash out/lose their color, so i wonder if the performance issues are the cause of...

Re: Longfellow Place (née Garden Garage Towers) | 35 Lomasney Way | West End

2. Slurry walls
