Re: Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

This is fantastic news, and frankly I am not surprised. I had never a doubt that HYM would have any troubles or concerns of finding tenants.

Never say never, and maybe I'm naive, but I doubt there...

Re: Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

Done. Thank you for the idea. While I was in there I threw Hubman in the Ignore List too, because they are the same person.

Re: Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

I really don't know why anyone is concerned with saving the trees if shade = Satan.

Re: Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

My best guess would be reinforcements required for dismantling a portion of the garage.

EDIT: Come to think of it, that portion of the garage is pretty gutted out already, and I don't believe they...

Re: Congress Street Garage Development | West End

Before today, the Peli design was just a bonus. But now seeing it integrated, I would be disappointed if it didn't get built as is. However, I am optimistic that Hym is going to come through on all...

Re: Congress Street Garage Development | West End

I don't care if it's a 480ft box. The fact that the garage work is underway, and that this is starting soon is awesome. Whatever gets that garaged demolished or temporarily masked is a win.

Re: Congress Street Garage Development | West End

The Globe messed up and put in the rendering of the office tower. And I seriously question the author's integrity given that s/he projected 1 Congress to be completed before Copley.

Re: Congress Street Garage Development | West End

Sorry to be a downer, but I won't believe anything is happening until I see anything happening.

Re: Congress Street Garage Development

I am actually amazed that any of this could start as early as 2016 given that there are still active offices above and advertised parking deals on the garage's site.

Re: Congress Street Garage Development

You look at this unparalleled and truly "iconic" design, and you're mostly fascinated with the height possibly being an extra 30 or 40 feet? Plus, the developer nor architect's main concern is trying...

Re: Congress Street Garage Development

Even if that did happen, looking at the garage is the worst part of the whole deal. It looks worse to me everyday.

Re: Congress Street Garage Development

Wasn't expecting to see that. I will be positively skeptical about it.

Those are not Aquraium towers in the back. I'm not sure what proposed development that is, but it is closer to CC Park.

Re: Congress Street Garage Development

I doubt it. There's nothing illegal or contract breaking that is happening here. It's all opinion, and it certainly doesn't help when they claim that all approved projects need to be looked at.

Re: Congress Street Garage Development

What they're really saying is 'Hey new guy, we don't like all that stuff the BRA approved before Menino left, so can you please reject all stuff 'cause towers are bad.'

It irks me to no end how...

Re: Congress Street Garage Development

That after-shot must be old as it showing the proposed massing for the Garden Towers back when they were planned to be 400 feet tall.

I am sure that the CG Towers would look different now too....

Re: Congress Street Garage Development

That is going to be here before you know it. A year away is not that bad considering that there are still many office tenants still above the garage.
