Re: Worcester Improvements

Why does Union Station need a second T platform? This project doesn't make sense to me since there's only a double tracking between Boston and Worcester and Worcester is a terminal station for...

Re: Worcester Improvements

Meh, nothing of value is being lost. The inside of Mount Carmel was pretty deteriorated in the 90's and everything worth saving was taken out already. The building is interesting but not that...

Re: Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike PARCEL 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

Waiting on the facade material for this one, but so far so good. This is a big win for the area as it is.

Re: 1000 Boylston Street | MassDOT Parcel 15 | Back Bay

The height people should be thrilled this one got shit canned. The Dalton St Garage is probably the only really feasible site in the next boom to be a possible 800ft+ tower due to favorable site...

Re: Redevelopment of Symphony Huntington Properties

How about folks tone the vitriol down a bit until there's some plans. You're already all frothing at the mouth without even seeing what the plans are.

Re: NYC Architecture and Development

What's the rent like in Hudson Yards or cost to buy a 1bd?

Does NYC have 2000ft tower by 2030? Getting a lot of 1300-1500 ft tall towers but eventually someone is gonna push the envelope.

Re: The New Retail Thread

I wonder if this will be another 200 Clarendon / Hancock Tower thing... I'm always gonna know it as the Landmark Center / Sears Building.

Re: Worcester Reactory Biopark

That's hardly true. This is at the outskirts of Worcester in an area that has never really had good urban bones to start with.

Re: Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

There really isn't much to see at this point. The slurry walls are flush with the dirt in most spots. No excavation has occurred yet. If you look closely you can just barely see some of them around...

Re: Worcester | Canal District infill/discussion

Reopening the canal has never made a lot of sense... it's one of those ideas that's kind of a hold over from a different time when Worcester was chasing Providence's success with Waterfire.

I...

Re: 1000 Boylston Street | MassDOT Parcel 15 | Back Bay

Possibly some prep work happening on the bridge tonight. Jackhammers and bobcat doing stuff on Boylston overpass.

Edit 12:18pm: Work happening underneath now too.

Re: Worcester Improvements

Worcester getting a Ruth's Chris is... interesting. 111 Chophouse a mile down the road is going to need to step up their game.
