Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

This looks a bit too high for the zoned height of that area, which I believe is either 55 or 65 feet. I have mixed feelings about the design, I think it contrasts a bit too much with the buildings...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

I really find it hard to believe that the developers of Portland Foreside planned this project around the outcome of the Portland Pipeline Co. lawsuit which at the time was only just beginning. There...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

That's interesting. I remember that the WestElm hotel was slated to open in "Spring of 2020" so if they wanted to meet that goal it would probably have to start going through the planning process...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Walking past the site today and I have yet to see any substantial work going on there. Supposedly the marina is under construction (according to Portland Foreside social media) but there is no...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

I'm still confused as to whether Phase 1 includes both the hotel and condos being built simultaneously or not. Based on the fact that some of the condos are already on the market with a moving date...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Interesting to note that two of the largest Tennants at 100 Fore Street will be out by the end of the summer. Does anyone have any more details about the fate of 100 Fore?

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

I could have sworn this project already had planning approval. Are they going back to the drawing board and back through the planning process?

Re: Portland Bayside

At this point, anything is better than those trash-filled empty lots. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Federated is ditching the land and selling it to whatever party is interested. I know the city...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Very ambitious. I'm wondering when the city or PACTS will do a traffic study for the eastern waterfront area because the rapid rate of development, plus the addition of several major employers, is...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

Our NIMBYism isn't bad at all compared to many places. Go to the San Francisco area and see what happens when anything taller than a single story home is proposed. Portland has made good progress in...

Re: Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

A dramatic improvement over that ugly puke green 5 story project originally proposed. Good design and good scale... although I don't know if I'm thrilled about it being marketed for the 55+...

Re: Jetport

I can see the flight to Denver doing very well. There's lots of demand for that route. Raleigh-Durham seems like an odd choice but it's good to see some solid growth at the jetport. Whats worth...
