Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I'm still not convince what the true height of this is. It definitely sits downhill from the Prudential. Could they be talking about the relative heights above sea level? I see wrong height...

Re: State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

He's probably looking at this, which happens to be the highest entry listed for this building.

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

We'll see. You are quoting somebody's speculation as if it were fact. His second and third points are moot since there is a separate filing for the crane at 920'.

Re: South Station Tower | South Station | Downtown

Yes, let's be sure to put this off by another 10 years right when they're finally ready to build.

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

There is no spire. There might be an antenna but I have to assume that would be tacked on at the very end of construction.

Re: South Station Tower | South Station | Downtown

Yet in the link, the total height AMSL is listed as 703'. I take it you did not click on the link.

Re: South Station Tower | South Station | Downtown

As long as this one has been bumped, it was refiled with the FAA in October and all 8 entries list it as 690'. That would make it 5 feet taller than MT and only 1 foot shorter than Winthrop Square....

Re: State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

What other building do you refer to with "these"? The office tower will likely go up in tandem with the residential building at the corner of Mass Ave and Boylston.

Re: Residences at 399 Congress St (formerly Madison Seaport Hotel)

Just getting this on the same page. This is turning out to be a huge building, even by Seaport standards. I wonder how tall it is? ~260'?

It's 295' to mech and the core is 1 floor out of the ground as of last week. Diagrams plus all the renders you could want are here:...

Re: MIT East Campus - Kendall Square Gateway | Cambridge

While it's bulking up impressively, the skyline view is going to take quite a hit when they raze Eastgate for a short, squat cube. That's the best proportioned building in the city! (of Cambridge)

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Is this in India? There is trash all over the ground and all of the wires look ready to combust the neighborhood in a moment's notice.

As Kent's comment was related to English speaking cities, I...

Re: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial | Boston Common | Downtown

I think most people will either like this or at least be neutral about it. For me the most important part is that, as far as I could tell, it was the least intrusive design to the current state of...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

The office tower still hasn't popped out yet. I thought it was ready to go vertical.

The overhead view of the complex is actually the perfect webcam for tracking the Bulfinch Crossing residential...

Re: General Boston Discussion.

If you look at it on google earth there are actually trees a few floors up on the landing of The Victor. Also, that view highlights how much thinner Haverhill Street is compared to the ones on...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

All 3 sides should have a lit tree logo right above the column of balconies.

Re: Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower (GCG Phase I) | 50 Sudbury St | Gov't Center

The webcam is currently down for this one. (EDIT: The webcam is back up)

However, if you check the Hub on Causeway webcam's overhead view, you can see the beginning of the fire on 2/23 at 2:15 pm,...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

From 2/16. It feels pretty damn big from up close. Great view walking down Canal Street. I'm glad the office tower is going slightly taller, even if it does look like it was designed by a 2nd...

Re: Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Personally I am not a huge fan of the lighter shading on top and wish it was a bit darker. However, I will wait to see how it looks with the fully completed and occupied building. The glass will...
