Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Re: The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

Re: Old Boston Edison Plant | Summer St | South Boston

A lot of NIMBYism is shakedown (not that there's anything wrong with that?)

Rationale analysis like that is sort of behind the point. What matters is that the developer has his checkbook out...

Re: The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

No doubt many of them did.

The question I'm interested in, though, is whether these look as absurd in person as they do in the photo?

Re: NEMA Boston | 399 Congress St. | Seaport

This one does a great job of capturing the world-class pedestrian environment that makes Boston so special among American cities:

I'm sure it will be even better once they put up a palisade of...

Do these shutters look as absurd in person as they do in the photo?

Re: Jetport

Well...to be a little pedantic, at the end of the day people only need one flight from among all the options available to them, and in some cases that 'best option' flight will leave from manchester.

Re: Old Northern Ave Bridge

What we all know is that the right turners are ALSO I-93 traffic - its people looking for a shortcut...

The words 'Boston is' in your post would be more accurately articulated as 'a handful of well-connected developers own'.

viz. "People who can't accept that [a handful of well-connected developers...

Re: Encore Boston Harbor Casino | Everett

Its worse than that.

There's a case to be made that the motivation for the switch to Flint river water was a scheme by the Emergency Manager and his cronies to drive the Detroit regional water...

- And a new concrete low rise section beneath the truss on the back?

...because...
