Re: General Infrastructure

It looks more like an actual station versus only platforms -- I'll try and grab a photo the next time I'm over that way.

Re: General Infrastructure

Noticed some people working on the tracks along the bypass road. Also looks like they are building some sort of platform/station at the intersection of Bypass/Cyprus. Any idea what this is going to...

Re: Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

If it looked like the initial render, yes, I would have made a point to go see it -- at least once.

Re: Parcel 12 | Massachusetts Avenue at Boylston Street | Back Bay

An easier solution would be to reverse the traffic flow on Stuart. Boylston turns into Essex and provides flow from Back Bay through Downtown to South Station. Kneeland/Stuart flows in both...

Re: 10 Farnsworth Street | Fort Point

If someone is looking for privacy, then they should probably move to the burbs and not live in the city.

Re: Ink Block (Boston Herald) | 300 Harrison Avenue | South End

My husband works for the Pine Street Inn -- that comment is just plain ignorant given what they do for the community.

Re: The Boulevard (née The Times/Littlest Bar) | 110 Broad St | Downtown

Just walked by this. The facade is definitely reading more orange than bronze. Clashes with the off-white/beige of the first floor.

Re: Waltham Developments

That garage is going to double in size. They only built half of it during Phase I.

Re: Waltham Developments

Boston Properties found an anchor for 20 City Point. Broke ground a few weeks ago. Essentially Phase II of that parcel -- based on what I have seen, will aesthetically match the building next door.

Re: Amazon HQ2 RFP

Have to agree with Rover. If you are able to look beyond the realm of 'downtown' housing does become more affordable -- you don't even need to leave city limits (Hyde Park, Mattapan)

Re: Amazon HQ2 RFP

I'm shocked by how many people think that the seaport is this isolated community that you can only access via car. Legit - take a walk over the channel. You'd be surprised how close it is to...

Re: Readville Complex

Wrong project -- Yard 5 is located over by the bus yard, between the Franklin Line and Milton Street. I don't think it has its own thread, but it was mentioned a while back in either the Readville or...

Re: Pierce Boston (née The Point )| Boylston St/Brookline Av | Fenway

That render was also before they decided to divide the roof into sections and sell each section separately.

Re: 45 Worthington Street | 35 stories, 385 units | Mission Hill

Did they replace this proposal with the development at 95 St. Alphonsus (http://www.bostonplans.org/projects/development-projects/95-st-alphonsus-street)?

I agree with the sentiment that housing projects from the past have failed, but to make the statement that housing project contributes to an increase in crime is ignorant and is often a tactic used...

Re: Readville Complex

I live right down the street from this. A huge issue that will require buy in from the locals is how this development is not going to increase the traffic around Readville station. Yes, we can argue...

Re: 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

This is specific to the City of Boston.

Not sure if Wynn faces a similar situation in Everett.

Re: Innovation Dist. / South Boston Seaport

To prove otherwise, I'll find the time to get over there tomorrow or Thursday's to snap some pics. The way these developments engage the waterfront is far from a ROW.

Also - if you don't like...
