Re: Mixed Use | Wharf 8 & Pier 7 | Seaport

Weird. I did not know about this. Just tried to google around to find out what happened to the pier that made it sink or get submerged, but nothing to find, just old nautical charts showing it. ...

Re: Northeastern University - Institutional Master Plan

For many parts of the SWC, it makes sense to use the bike path part for the reasons you describe. Those also happen to be less heavily trafficked parts, and in general, people tend to be aware of...

Re: Biking in Boston

That would be excellent if true, although Im sure there'll be plenty of angry aggressive natives over this change. I hate the Day Blvd — people always speed on it and generally drive aggressively,...

Re: Northeastern University - Institutional Master Plan

Yes, it looks nice, despite the city giving away a public park to another institutional monolith.

Have they put up any signs separating bikes and peds yet? This is one segment of the SWC where...

Re: NEMA Boston | 399 Congress St. | Seaport

Now that's some Beton Brut level of lancination. I would only add... don't forget cedar mulch and yew bushes, for lower down.

Re: Brookline Developments

I'm sad to hear that. I know there's been talk for a year or so on using that medical building, and overall I suppose it's a reasonable place for expansion. But, decking over the station will...

Re: Mixed Use Complex | 345 Harrison Ave | South End

The cut through the building is a great way to reduce the feeling of megablock-ness.

Re: Do you still hate the seaport?

Stuff like this (http://www.archboston.org/community/showpost.php?p=327896&postcount=242) helps.

Also, the Seaport was started from a blank slate. So, city planning.

Re: Indianapolis, a Bike Haven City

Ed, thanks for this post. I really love when someone on here occasionally does a really great photo-documentation of a city that's not well known.

Re: Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower (GCG Phase I) | 50 Sudbury St | Gov't Center
