Re: North Washington St Bridge

I don't get it, in the gondola thread people are trashing the idea because we don't need elevated systems in Boston and in this thread people are hoping for them.

Re: The New Retail Thread

Ever heard of the term limousine liberal? For a prime example of this, look at a place like NYC.

Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium

Tailgating is an American thing and should be embraced by MLS fans – it’s something different than what the European soccer teams do. To each their own, but the whole march to the match thing is kind...

Re: The New Retail Thread

Even taking into account inflation, the cost of alcohol at bars and restaurants is outrageous when compared to prices in the 1970s and 1980s and that applies pretty much everywhere. Is it really...

They do fly it - it's also the longest non-stop flight they operate.

Re: 128 Widening

If it were possible, how many tracks would be needed to handle all of the Amtrak, Orange Line and commuter rail traffic?

Re: 128 Widening

Needham essentially has their own rapid transit of sorts given the commuter rail has 4 stops in town and it's a very short ride into Back Bay and South Station. Would having a branch on the green...

Re: 128 Widening

The official completion of the project is Spring 2019, however it looks like they're pretty much done and the latest update from MassDOT said the contractor is on their punch list of leaving the...

Re: North-South Rail Link

Assuming you're being serious with this post, the TWT was a very smart and necessary road infrastructure project to help enhance Logan Airport, which is a massive economic engine for the city, metro...

Re: Logan Airport Capital Projects

If Massport does build an automated people mover, do you think that could cause an uptick in those opting to take mass transit? Having a direct link to the Blue Line would be really nice (apart from...

Re: Logan Airport Capital Projects

This is another example of Massport working with what they've got - a small footprint. It will be a nice upgrade once it's done in 4 years. Is it perfect? No. But given the space constraints, it...

Re: Logan Airport Capital Projects

It's going to be a mess for the 2 years construction is happening, but once it's done it should go a long way to improving the flow of traffic. The Terminal C curbside work is also going to be a very...

Re: Logan Airport Capital Projects

Upgrading and putting money into Logan airport is a very good use of money as Logan is vital to the economy of Boston, the Boston metro area and all of Eastern MA. Given the powers that be did not...

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Why not commission a local artist to paint the entire tunnel? The city has done this with street utility boxes to fantastic results.

Re: The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

This is all very interesting - I didn't realize the Hub project would be breaking into the Garden itself and allowing so nice expansion.
