Re: MBTA Bus & BRT

Yup. Plus it won't be a 'subway using rubber tires' either - D street light or no light the buses have way less capacity and speed and won't approach anything subway like (other than in a literal...

Re: Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike PARCEL 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

No one took that land because its a super site that no one wants to touch with a ten foot pole - among other things. Not at all an apples to apples with the air rights parcels.

Re: New Red and Orange Line Cars

Latest report has the signals not being fully restored until after Labor Day:

I think I am going to go ahead and...

Re: archBOSTON Update: A New Dawn

Because this is an ancient piece of software that has known security vulnerabilities, and is utter shite on mobile (among other reasons).

Re: Green Line Type 10 Procurement

Yeah - I went to the various public meetings for the Mattapan Line refurbishment - to be honest, I should probably make a dedicated thread to it. They grand plan was moving the Type-9s in a...

Re: Green Line Type 10 Procurement

I thought the Type-10 order was a full fleet replacement to make it fully homogenized and the Type-9s would be retired?

Re: City Hall Plaza Revamp | Government Center

I think the thought is that if the city does it correctly it could end up being a net win money wise by putting the street grid back in and then subdividing and selling (or land leasing) the area to...

Re: Housing a Changing City: Boston 2030

Eh, we can support things like a Soccer stadium (or other cultural/entertainment venues) while still building enough housing.
