James Howard Kunstler has started a new podcast that he updates each Thursday.

For those who dont know, Kunstler is a writer and commentator on our built environment--among other things. He's the author of several entertaining polemics on the modern American city (think Jane Jacobs plus George Carlin) as well as a weekly-updated blog. (http://www.kunstler.com/) His Eyesore Of The Month is an internet staple among architecture and urban planning nerds.

Saw him speak at Bridgewater state a year ago. I agree he has some interesting viewpoints, but boy is he an awful speaker.

I love eyesore of the month. He has a hilarious way of describing architecture. His blog "clusterfuck nation" where he comments on politics, economics, and general social commentary is equally entertaining. "Geography of Nowhere" has become the "Life and Death of Great American Cities" for the new millenium.

Kunstler should tour with George Carlin and Jello Biafra. I'd pay to see that. Call the tour "More Jokes About Buildings & Food."
