A while back I did a picture post of my college at the request of the Bostonian, but the images were all from the internet. Now I have some of my own. Check out these pictures that I took today of the University of Vermont, but first, a little about the school. from wikipedia.org:
The university was chartered in 1791, under the name "Universitas Viridis Montis" (UVM), which stands for University of the Green Mountains in Latin, and is the fifth oldest university in New England, after the four Ivies. In 1865, the university merged with Vermont Agricultural College. UVM is known for its programs in the biological, environmental, agriculture and life sciences, and is sometimes referred to as a "Public Ivy."
heres one to get things started, more to follow. lemme know what you think.

this is called the "round room" and it functions in different sections as a student center, cafeteria (two) study and officespace. it is very coolinside. originally it was the school's first library hundreds of years ago.

well if I come across as "liberal" on here, just picture hundreds of kids with no shoes, long hair and plaid shirts tied around their waists that make me look like a FOX News anchor. I mean, I have one friend at this entire school other than my girlfriend, and I have no interest whatsoever in associating with these other hippies or rich kids. it is ridiculous. senior week consists of a farewell cruise, a golf tournament, and a champagne toast, among other equally retarded things. no thanks...if only you could picture the typical UVM trust fund hippy, you especially bosdev would throw up. |

the oldest dorms on campus to the right (converse hall) sit next to the school's newest addition, a brand new teaching hospital for the med school (left). i lived in converse junior eyar and the rooms are terribly small, almost like a prison cell.

UVM is currently undergoing $300 million in construction, and part of this will be the new 6-story student center to replace what I showed you earlier (the round room). it is pictured in the background.

the "sports bra" was invented in the basement of the building directly to the left of the building pictured here. woo hoo, go UVM soft ball team! haha.
the bench is empty because a fierce pack of bumble bees protect it like it was fort knox
